Miss Mischevious...

Addy is growing up SO fast and I have really just loved watching her personality grow and develop. She definitely looks like her sisters...my girls will never go anywhere together in this season of life and not be seen as anything but sisters :) Addyson though is just so much more outgoing than the other girls were at this age. She waves at EVERYONE she passes, even if the ppl drive by in cars-she waves...she loves to tell you stories and is so serious when she does it. Every now and then she even gets her finger wagging to put an emphasis on her story (thanks you Grandma Lois ;) Another thing that is different is that with Gracie and Karys I really never had to "child proof" so to say the house. However, Addy is very curious and loves to discover things and get into them ; ) I think I have taught her the areas that are "ok" to get into, but every now and then she discovers something new!
This was a fun one to discover and well as one I didn't stress at all about! She LOVED the fact that she could pull out every tupperware and every lid one by one, stack them up, slide them across the floor etc.She wasn't quite sure where to even sit down, but look at her face! She was having a ball ;)Wait a second...am I in trouble? Not sure if this fits on here or not, but might as well try!
Another thing that Addy LOVE LOVE LOVES to do is brush her teeth! Whenever anyone is brushing, she needs her toothbrush and wants to be brushing right there with them!Thank you, Lord that she is still my little baby though. She still loves to be all swaddled up when she sleeps and is the most cuddly little bug ever....she will even cuddle with Maggie if Mags will let her!She won't hesitate to go to sleep if she is tired either...not long after she turned one she discovered she could sleep almost anywhere. Especially in her high chair if she doesn't get her lunch early enough! She is such a big helper too! Found her in the laundry room one day putting some toys in the washer. I usually let her through the clothes in and I guess she decided some of her toys needed a bath!Having a blast doing "laundry"....wish it was always that much fun for me!Addyson Grace is such a blessing to our lives...where she walks (crawls, rolls...) she leaves her footprints and that place in never the same. Every now and then I walk into a room and see the handprints of my children before I see the mess...in that moment I am able to see how full my life is, how blessed I am and how my life will truly never be the same now that they are in it!

Saturday Tulip Fun!

Saturday was a fun day for the festival as well! I was so excited b/c Sarah got put on call for the day and was able to come over with the kids and hang out. Neither of my girls wanted to walk in the parade again, but I thought if I have this great authentic costume I might as well. So I bribed Karys with cotton candy and with the fact that Leah would be able to do it as well! I ran down to pick up Leah as soon as Sarah pulled into town, threw the costume on her and tried to pin it the best I could! The girls did great! Leah did have to carry her skirt and Karys looked so cute in her shades but I think they both had a fun time walking in the parade!Afterwards we met up with Rob, Gracie, Sarah and Cade to watch the parade...they had a great spot marked out!The girls LOVE the flags...their favorite part of the band...and Alisha was looking good out there!Even got a little smile and wink out of Breanna when she went by ;)The 2010 Tulip CourtOur Wed. night babysitter, Kim, was on a float b/c she was on the court last yearLook at this little man! He was just starting to sit up by himself! He is such a handsome dude! I just love his little smiles!Rob loves to reminisce about the days he was in the Pella Jr High band and they had to march in wooden shoes and he carried the baritone sax...that is why his thumbs are the way they are and he "can't give very good back rubs" Lovely LeahRob and the ladies gathered down on the curb to watch the parade. Sarah and I actually ran into our old piano teacher, John Mogen, and spent a lot of the parade talking with him and his wife. Had to follow through with the bribe...cotton candy for all!Mommy and GraSISTERS...so glad she got to come down!Had to laugh at this view....Gracie trying to push Leah and Karys up the hill in the stroller~They made it though! The lighting was awesome as the sun was setting on the tulips...so we of course had to grab some pictures! Then we were off to the rides....ride night was rainy and cold so we had avoided the rides until this point. It was fun to have Leah and Sarah to ride with though! First up...the "spinny"apples!Next, the jumbo slide! They even let Sarah go on the Ferris wheel with all the girls! They were a little apprehensive at first, but this ended up being a favorite of the night!Everybody is thumbs up!Everyone pretending to sleep....Silly faces! It was Rob's turn next, he chose to ride on this double rocket thing that went upside down and all around!Even had the girl next to hims cell phone fall on him during the ride! The girls were so intrigued by the fact that this thing was really spinning around and their daddy/uncle was on it!I think he was a little woozy after the ride, but being the adventurous type he is was thumbs up!Our attempt to get all the kiddos in the wooden shoe...Had a little more success with the big girls ;)Me and the Cade man!Everyone had a stroller to push or a baby to carry!Leah even rode in the baby bjorn for a little while! I love this little lady!
Last shot of the night...look at those bright blue eyes!
