The Past Week Has Been a Roller Coaster!!!!

Wow! What a roller coaster the past week has been! Let's recap a little...So about 3 weeks ago I ran my 20 mile run for the marathon. Afterwards I got crazy nauseous and could not figure out why...I felt that way off and on for the next week as well as started to feel the tightening in my stomach that I get when I am pregnant....Don't get ahead of me here ;) I wasn't quite sure what to think and I was still about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks out from getting my period. So Sunday 9/21 I decided I was going to take a pregnancy test. My period wasn't supposed to come until the next Fri or Sat but thought it was worth a shot. It came back with one horizontal line in the 1st circle and a vertical line in the 2nd window. 2 Lines! I was pregnant! I knew it! So I ended up telling my mom and dad...The crazy thing is I had seen my dad about a week before and after I left he told my mom that he thought I was pregnant. My mom questioned how he knew that and he just said he could tell!
So anyway, from there I went on to schedule a Dr. appt for Tues morning just to see if everything was good and get things figured out with whether or not I would be able to run the marathon. Yeah, the marathon...this coming Sunday! The Dr. appt went well and I was good to go for the marathon. The Dr. just really encouraged me to listen to my body and take it easy. No record breaking performances ;) However, the Dr. called me later that afternoon and said, "I am sorry to tell you this, but both tests, urine and blood, came back to show that you are not pregnant." I was some what shocked-I felt so pregnant and was totally perplexed as to what else could be going on with my body. I still felt all of the symptoms that don't come with a regular cycle but rather with a prenancy.
So I ended up telling a handful of ppl that I was "miscarrying" - more ppl than ever knew I was even pregnant. For that next three days I continued to feel fine but also still felt very similar things that I was feeling before. I gave myself until Sunday to start my cycle. When Sunday came and I had still not started I headed off to trusty ole ALCO to buy another test. My sister had also reminded my at somepoint over the weekend that I had also had a (-) test with Gracie that later proved to be a positive.
So that brings the story to Monday a.m. I woke up @ 420 am and forced myself to go back to sleep until at least 530. Then I got up to take the test. As I was looking @ the box I realized something very important--a positive test result was not only a horizontal line in one window and a vertical in the next but rather it was a horizontal and vertical line (+) in the first window and a vertical in the 2nd. I really never had a (+) test last Sunday--WOW! but as I watched the test devvelop...during which time I also decided to buy the digital word tests in the future that just say pregnant/not pregnant in them...I wathced a true (+) test develop in front of my eyes. I was never going to "miscarry" it was just too early to tell last week when I took those other tests!
So after calling the dr and sorting things out today...and going in to have another blood test drawn...I am pregnant! WOW! With the marathon on Sunday ;) But no really, we are totally excited and praising God for this. In light of everything, nothing compares to the gift we have been given. I am grateful for the training that has really placed my body in good condition prior to this pregnancy so no matter if I run 26 miles this weekend or only 2.6 I am grateful. PPL ask us if we really are hoping for a boy...really--just a healthy baby...there are too many struggles going on in our community to hope and pray for anything less. And in that same light--this has been a hard thing for us, especially me, in that way. It is hard to know sometimes how to feel when there are ppl around you struggling in thier own ways with babies they have in thier families, babies that are still in the womb, or babies that are so wanted and just cannot come to be...so all we can do is recognize the great gift that God has given us in being able to have two beautiful, healthy children already and pray for the development, life, and health of our third!

Just a pic of both tests...the top has the faint plus line in the first window and the bottom is the "false" one ;)

More Pumpkinland Pics...

Watching the geese drink water
Gracie loved peeking through all of the holes and saying CHEESE!
Karys finally caught on and found one she could reach too!
Running through the kids corn maze...
YAY! We did it! Gracie led us out of the maze, course it was back the same way we came and not through the exit but hey we got out none the less!
I really thought this corn was going to come home with us, Karys found in in the grass and carried it around for a long time cob in one hang 1 kernel of corn in the other! Baby Jaydon takes a turn peeking through the pumpkin...
Love this picture of the girls by the pumpkinsIt was definitely a day that Gracie was into having her picture taken, couldn't get Karys to take the focus off the corn long enough to smile!

She was excited to be in this picture though, bc Baby Jay was in it ;)Just one of the many pictures we got of Gracie posing with all of her different pumpkins she found. No more pictures plz ;)Love the light on her hair !Karys found some pumpkins to carry around too...What a precious little pumkin!Every year we have to measure how much we have grown! The whole gang, minus mommy, posing for a group shot on the hay bales...A pumpkin in a bag to bring home to show daddy...A beautiful, windy, successful day at pumpkin land!

The weather was awesome this am and we got to be with Baby Jaydon for his first trip to the pumpkin farm;) I must say I think that we were a little more excited than he was, he could hardly open his eyes and take it all in ;) All in all we had a great morning that only cost us $1.25!!! You have to love living so close to pumpkinland and having it be so cheap!

Picnic in the park

On the 17th...almost a week ago now! We headed to the park for a picnic. Rob has Wed afternoons off and we really try to enjoy that time as a family. It was so awesome outside and there was no one in the park so we had a great time enjoying PB&J, cheetos, and yogurt!Headed through the park to our bench in the shade...it was pretty warm this day, I think 80Getting all situated with our sandwiches and enjoying the companyKarys smelling the flowers...she thinks they all stink! Says "PEUWW" everytime! The flowers were so beautiful!!! Gracie told me "Mom, didn't God do a GREAT job!"There were butterflies all over! The best was when one would fly up out of the flowers and catch the girls off guard. They like to sneak up on you they would say...You can't have beautiful flowers without a little photo shoot!Getting thier CHEESE faces ready! It was a day of cheesy faces but you just have to love this picture!Gracie then started the game of being a gymnast on the balance beam...
Karys made it on, but wanted help walking forward...Help was quickly at her side! So cute to watch them be such helping hands to each other!Pretty soon we were both up and going strong on our own...Karys even got a turn to be the "Leader"...Using thier arms to balance just like gymnasts on TV...Loved this...Lately we have been going through a lot of transitions where one set of feet has had to go where the other one can't or they have each had to go in different directions. It is so crazy and so amazing how dependent they have become on having the other by thier side. I pray this continues for years and years to come!

Dancing in thier Lima hats....

We got home from church two Sundays ago and the girls were just in rare form. We always love to do a little dancing in our kitchen, but today they wanted thier hats on. They were being so crazy dancing to a little Hosanna and all of the songs from Enchanted. They even had thier babies in on the show after awhile. It is so awesome to watch them do these types of things because they are truly uninhibited and just laugh and act with so much JOY!!! Defifnitely some crazy fun ;) Jamming out to the beat of How Does she Know? They even know a lot of the words....
Working thier moves...Karys still loves to put her pointer fingers up and jam out...Auntie Megan's favorite moves ;)
They got the idea even to pull thier hats down and "Dance in the Dark" Hilarious to watch. Karys even lifted her hat and said "that's Hilarious!" Priceless....

More Pics from the fair

It was so fun to watch this guy! He used all kinids of chainsaws to carve logs of wood. This one actually turned out to be a Native American wearing an eagle headdress. Amazing!
Checking out the planes with Daddy and Grandpa...
Gracie loved climbing up and "driving" all of the tractors too! She was more drawn to the smaller ones that she could sit in the seat and steer.
Karys and Grandma giving each other silly eyes...I love this picture!

Gracie hanging upside down...Look at the JOY! Ilove it she and Karys were having so much fun!Playing hide and seek...Gracie hid from Karys underneath the tractorThey have quite a few crazy farm animals at this fair...watch out they get out of control rather quickly!Gracie all locked up in the penRunning freely through the streets of the fair, trying to stay entertained at this point...almost seen it all and without a nap...struggling to keep it goingGrandpa trying to figure out what kind of pigs they keep in there...the girls were actually VERY eager to get into this pen, Karys even wanted to go in and close the door. What do you say about this picture....Karys wasn't so sure about the pigs..."Peuw wee, Mommy!"
"Daddy I think this pumkin is SOOO fake" It weighed like over 3oo lbs!All tired out after and long day at the fair...I would say it was successful! Lots of fun to be had and two exhausted girls to load into the vanIt was even more successful when we found this stand...I wanted mini-doughnuts and Rob wanted a funnel cake--it's all about the 2 in one place! I think they made us feel a little rough later that night though!
